Tory Lanez has been instructed by the court to clarify his disruptive behavior during a deposition related to Megan Thee Stallion’s defamation case, where he made fun of court proceedings and targeted her attorney.
Lanez has a deadline of April 30 to provide a response to the court's order questioning his conduct during the April 9 deposition. The rapper, who is serving a 10-year sentence for shooting Megan, engaged in sarcastic remarks, personal attacks, and evasive responses during the Zoom deposition from prison.
The deposition was part of Megan's lawsuit against YouTuber Milagro Gramz for spreading false information about her mental health and sobriety. Megan's legal team accuses Lanez and his father of supporting and organizing a smear campaign against her.
Lanez disrupted the questioning, ridiculed the process, and focused on criticizing Megan's lawyer. His behavior prompted Megan's attorneys to end the deposition prematurely and seek a court order for a second deposition conducted appropriately.
The court is now requiring Lanez to explain his actions and potential violation of the prior deposition order. Megan's legal team needs to provide evidence of notification by April 21.
