Koo Jun Yup Honors Late Wife Barbie Hsu with Daily Visits to Her Grave, According to Family Friend

Koo Jun Yup, a member of the famous K-pop duo Clon, has been visiting his late wife Barbie Hsu's grave every day as a way to cope with the grief of her passing, demonstrating his enduring love for her.

A recent interview with Taiwanese singer Bai Bingbing, as reported by Taiwanese outlet ETtoday on April 16th, revealed that Hsu's mother was deeply moved by Koo's commitment to visiting her daughter's grave at Jinbaoshan daily. Both Koo and Hsu's sister Xu Xidi are still struggling to come to terms with the loss, according to Hsu's mother. Bai Bingbing, who experienced the tragedy of losing her own daughter years ago, shared her conversation with Hsu's mother and offered support by emphasizing the long and difficult grieving process she endured after her loss.

Barbie Hsu tragically passed away on February 2nd during a family trip to Japan, after falling ill with pneumonia during a bout of flu. She was 48 years old. Koo Jun Yup and the family completed the cremation process in Japan and brought her ashes back to Taiwan on February 5th. In a heartfelt Instagram post on February 6th, Koo expressed his deep sorrow and inability to articulate the pain he was experiencing following his wife's passing.

Barbie Hsu, best known for her role as Shan Cai in the Taiwanese drama Meteor Garden, gained international fame in the early 2000s. She also had a notable romantic relationship with Koo Jun Yup in South Korea, dating back to 1998 before rekindling their romance more than two decades later. The couple tied the knot in 2022 after Hsu's divorce from Chinese businessman Wang Xiaofei. Hsu is survived by a son and daughter from her previous marriage.
