K-pop sensation Lisa, also known as Lalisa Manoban, debuted as an actress in season 3 of the popular HBO series 'The White Lotus'. Despite a lot of anticipation, she had significantly limited screen time in the season, receiving criticism from international media for not utilizing her talent effectively.

The series, known for its dark comedy-drama theme revolving around the happenings at an upscale resort, has amassed a huge global audience. The third season, based in Thailand, was streamed on Coupang Play in the country, with the final episode achieving a record-breaking 6.2 million viewership.

Lisa played "Mook," a charismatic resort staff fluent in English and Thai. However, her role was primarily as a background character rather than a prominent figure.

Critiques from outlets like The Guardian highlighted her minimal participation, comparing it to involving a high-profile star like Lady Gaga as an extra. The portrayal of Mook was deemed lacking depth and development, not befitting a renowned K-pop artist.

Lisa expressed both excitement and nervousness about her acting debut, admitting to initial jitters and forgetfulness of lines on set. She noted that Mook's character was similar to her in some ways but more feminine and flirtatious, contrasting her real-life tomboy persona.

Transitioning into acting with this role marked a significant career move for Lisa, who rose to fame with the group BLACKPINK in 2016.

In other news, BLACKPINK is scheduled to launch their 'BLACKPINK 2025 WORLD TOUR', commencing with shows on July 5th and 6th at Goyang Sports Complex Main Stadium in South Korea, aiming to connect with their global fanbase through enhanced performances.
