Jin, a member of the popular group BTS, is gearing up to release his new solo album in May.
A spokesperson from BIGHIT MUSIC confirmed to Dispatch on April 14 that Jin is currently in the process of working on a new album and plans to unveil it in May, with more specific details set to be disclosed later.
After a break of about six months following the release of his first solo album, "Happy," in November 2024, Jin is set to make his return to the music industry. His previous album gained significant success, entering the Billboard 200 at No. 4.
Additionally, the album peaked at No. 2 on the World Albums chart and at No. 3 on the Top Album Sales chart. The lead single, "Running Wild," captured the No. 53 spot on the Billboard Hot 100 and clinched the top spot on the Digital Song Sales chart.
Songs like "I’ll Be There," "Heart on the Window," "Another Level," and "Until I Reach You" from the album also made it onto the Billboard Global (Excl. US) chart, demonstrating the album's global impact.
Besides his musical endeavors, Jin has been actively involved in various projects. He served as a torchbearer at the 2024 Paris Summer Olympics, hosted a successful solo fan meeting, and received several endorsement deals from major brands.
Jin has also maintained his reputation as a versatile entertainer, making appearances in BTS’s web series "Run Jin" and starring in the Netflix original show "Village of Madness," which topped Netflix Korea’s Top 10 series chart recently, outperforming "When Life Gives You Tangerines."
In "Village of Madness," a unique guesthouse-style variety program, Jin showcases his charisma and versatility in a warm camaraderie with Kian84 and Ji Ye Eun, earning acclaim from viewers for his standout performances on the show.
As anticipation builds for his upcoming album, fans are eagerly looking forward to Jin's next musical chapter.
