China's central bank reported that officials from China, Japan, and South Korea gathered to discuss the repercussions of U.S. tariffs on global and regional economies. The meeting, which included Deputy Governor Xuan Changneng from the People's Bank of China, took place during the ASEAN and China, Japan, South Korea finance and central bank deputies meeting in Malaysia on April 8-9. In addition to addressing the impact of tariffs, the three countries also shared perspectives on their economic situations and discussed regional financial cooperation. China's central bank highlighted its intention to adopt a moderately loose monetary policy, ensure financial market stability, and support the ongoing economic recovery.
