The older brother of the late singer and actress Sulli has called for clarification from Kim Soo Hyun's management company, which was involved in the production of the film 'Real.' This has brought attention to comments made by actor Jo Woo Jin during an interview about the movie.
The interview took place on June 27, 2017, during an episode of SBS’s 'Access Showbiz Tonight,' featuring 'Real' cast members Kim Soo Hyun, Sulli, and Jo Woo Jin. The film had gained notice for showcasing Sulli's first nude scene.
During the interview, when asked if she had slept well the night before, Sulli replied affirmatively, while Kim Soo Hyun mentioned that she seemed quite nervous. Kim Soo Hyun described the movie as a challenging but rewarding experience, stating that he was initially confident but eventually felt humbled after filming over a hundred scenes.
Jo Woo Jin commended Kim Soo Hyun's dedication to the film, humorously suggesting that it was "of him, by him, and for him." He also praised Sulli's performance, highlighting her character despite having a smaller role.
Recently, Sulli's family released a statement on March 28 expressing concerns about the filming process of the bed scenes, alleging that Sulli was pressured to film nude scenes despite a body double being present. They questioned why the production claimed Sulli was absent due to illness for those scenes.
In response, Kim Soo Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, clarified that the nude scenes were agreed upon before casting, with SM Entertainment being informed about it.
Sulli tragically passed away on October 14, 2019, at 25 years old. Throughout her career, she faced numerous controversies and cyberbullying, especially after her relationship with Choiza was made public in 2014. This led to a hiatus from the industry and her departure from f(x) in 2015. Following her death, a documentary aired, including her mother's interviews, which stirred controversy and led to the suspension of the show's replays.
