BTS member Jimin has once again achieved a significant milestone on Spotify's South Korean charts, making history in the process.
According to the latest Spotify chart update on April 4, Jimin has held the top spot on the 'Weekly Top Artists' chart in South Korea for an impressive 90 consecutive weeks. This remarkable accomplishment marks the first time any artist has achieved such a feat in the chart's history.
Jimin first appeared on the 'Weekly Top Artists' chart at the end of April 2022 with his OST "With You" for the tvN drama 'Our Blues'. Since then, he has spent a total of 139 weeks on the chart, with an outstanding 90 weeks at the number one position, showcasing his unmatched popularity.
In addition, Jimin continues to dominate the Spotify South Korean 'Daily Top Artists' chart, securing the number one spot for the 613th time as of the April 3 update.
Moreover, the title track "Who" from Jimin's second solo album 'MUSE' quickly rose to the top of the Spotify Korea 'Daily Top Songs' chart upon its release. Despite minimal promotion, the song has maintained its number one position for 259 consecutive days as of the latest chart on April 3, and is currently in its 37th straight week at the peak of the 'Weekly Top Songs' chart.
On a global scale, Jimin has also garnered recognition by dominating Spotify's 'Global Impact' list for the latter half of 2024. His track "Who" claimed the top spot, with four other songs – "Be Mine" (5th), "Slow Dance" (19th), "Rebirth" (22nd), and "Interlude: Showtime" (28th) – also making it onto the list. This further solidifies Jimin's status as a top-tier artist with international appeal.
