NewJeans, consisting of Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein, decided to change their social media account name from "NJZ" to "mhdh_friends" on April 4. They also deleted their previous posts. Additionally, their parents' account underwent a name change to "mhdhh_pr." It appears that "mhdhh" represents the first letters of the members' names.

Last November, the group ended their contracts with ADOR citing breaches, leading to them pursuing solo activities. They then revealed "NJZ" as their new name in February. ADOR responded by taking legal action to enforce their contracts and prevent the group from signing new advertising deals.

The reasons behind terminating the contracts included issues like the absence of former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin and statements from HYBE officials. Despite the court granting ADOR's requests, NewJeans had to halt their independent work and promotional activities.
