Young Thug’s Probation Violation Dismissed as Judge Denies Fanil Willis’ Jail Plea

Young Thug was able to avoid violating his probation when a judge determined that his social media post did not violate the terms of his probation agreement. The rapper had faced the possibility of being sent back to jail, but the motion filed by the District Attorney's office to revoke his probation was denied by Fulton County Superior Court Judge Paige Reese Whitaker. The motion claimed that Young Thug's post on social media, which included a photo of a law enforcement officer with a negative caption, constituted a breach of his probation terms established in his plea deal that led to his release from jail. However, Judge Whitaker ruled that the post did not warrant revocation of his probation. Young Thug, who spent over two years in custody prior to his release, now looks forward to performing at the upcoming Summer Smash Festival in June.
