SBS has officially announced the renewal of the popular legal drama Good Partner for a second season. Studio S, the show's production company, has confirmed the decision and is now preparing for the upcoming season. Lead actresses Jang Na Ra and Nam Ji Hyun, who were part of the first season, have been approached to reprise their roles and are currently considering the offer.

Filming for season 2 is scheduled to commence in the fall, although specific details such as the filming schedule and the complete cast lineup are yet to be finalized. An SBS spokesperson mentioned that while plans for the second season are underway, the project is still in its early stages, and further information on filming dates and casting is pending confirmation.

Good Partner, which aired from July to September last year, received a positive response from viewers, reaching a high rating of 17.7% (Nielsen Korea). The series revolves around the lives of divorce lawyers handling emotionally charged cases.

Jang Na Ra portrayed the lead divorce lawyer Cha Eun Kyung, and Nam Ji Hyun played the role of the passionate rookie attorney Han Yoo Ri. Their compelling on-screen chemistry significantly contributed to the show's success. Both actresses were recognized for their performances, with Jang Na Ra winning the Grand Prize at the 2023 SBS Drama Awards and Nam Ji Hyun receiving the Top Excellence Award.

Considering the actresses' attachment to the series, negotiations for the main cast are predicted to proceed smoothly. In interviews following the conclusion of the first season, both actresses expressed a strong interest in a second season.

Season 2 is anticipated to delve into the evolving relationship between their characters, particularly after their intense courtroom face-off in the first season's final scene, building anticipation among fans for the upcoming storyline.
