BLACKPINK's Jennie Shares Concerns About Comeback Preparations in Viral Video
In a recent video uploaded on January 30 to the YouTube channel 'Ssook Ssook,' BLACKPINK member Jennie opened up about her worries as she gets ready for her highly-anticipated comeback.
As the first guest on Ssook Ssook, Jennie revealed, "I've dedicated a year to preparing for this album, putting my heart and soul into the music. However, in today's fast-paced world, just releasing a song doesn't guarantee that people will pay attention to it."
Expressing her uncertainty, she added, "With the overwhelming amount of content being constantly released, I want to cater to my fans' preferences, but I'm not quite sure what they are anymore. Keeping up with the evolving tastes of the younger generation artists poses a challenge for me."
When the Ssook Ssook team proposed a dance challenge to promote her latest song, Jennie admitted her lack of experience in participating in such trends. Feeling excluded, she shared, "No one has ever approached me for a challenge before. I was hoping to join in, but it seems like I've been on the sidelines."
Curious about the behind-the-scenes of these challenges, Jennie inquired, "How do they all coordinate these challenges?" The production team explained that many challenges take place in the busy hallways of music show waiting rooms.
Despite feeling left out, Jennie maintained her composure and humor by noting, "Every time I go there, the hallways are empty. Am I just visiting on the wrong days? I was looking forward to being asked to participate, but it hasn't happened yet."
Fans can anticipate the release of Jennie's new song, "Love Hangover," on January 31, followed by her highly-awaited first full solo album 'Ruby' on March 7.
