The US dollar lost ground against the euro but strengthened against the yen on Wednesday as President Donald Trump proclaimed new tariffs that are anticipated to heighten the trade conflict with international allies, raise prices, and disrupt long-established trade agreements. Following Trump's confirmation of imposing 25% tariffs on foreign-produced automobiles, the euro rose to $1.0895, marking a 0.92% increase, while the dollar saw a 0.38% increase against the yen, reaching 150.20 yen in late trading.
