6ix9ine has shown signs of undergoing a spiritual change by professing his belief in Jesus as his guiding light following a hefty $250,000 court fine. The rapper from Brooklyn has turned to faith after facing legal issues that led to his release from house arrest due to probation violations. Sharing a video from a church service, he expressed a message implying a newfound spiritual direction.

The recent post followed a report by AllHipHop revealing that a federal judge had ordered him to pay $250,000 in damages for breaching a performance contract related to a missed concert in Washington, D.C. in October 2018. Despite receiving payment and skipping the show, leaving thousands disappointed, 6ix9ine found himself in further legal trouble, including a 45-day jail sentence for probation violations like unauthorized travel and failed drug tests. After serving his sentence, he was under strict conditions of home confinement and supervised probation.

In a later incident in March 2025, 6ix9ine made headlines by cutting off his ankle monitor in defiance of being tracked, expressing his desire for freedom from constraints.
