Jennie made a donation of 100 million KRW (~68,138 USD) on March 27 through the Hope Bridge Korea Disaster Relief Association. She expressed her sadness for the victims and hoped her contribution would provide some comfort and assistance during this difficult time. The funds will be used for emergency living support, relief supplies, and temporary shelters for those affected.
Simultaneously, Jennie is enjoying global success with her first solo album 'Ruby,' released on March 7. The album, featuring 15 tracks of various genres, including the title track "Like Jennie," has achieved significant recognition on the Billboard charts. 'Ruby' had the highest first-week sales for a solo female K-pop artist this year, selling 661,130 copies.
On March 28, Jisoo donated 150 million KRW (~102,208 USD) to wildfire relief efforts through the Korean Red Cross. Through her agency, BLISSOO, Jisoo expressed her desire to support the firefighters and those affected by the wildfires, emphasizing the importance of restoring damaged lands.
Jisoo, known for her philanthropic efforts, previously donated her personal YouTube channel proceeds to Save the Children. She continues her charitable work by assisting wildfire victims.
