Jaemin, a member of the K-pop group NCT Dream, has reached out to support the ongoing recovery operations following wildfires.
On March 27, Jaemin made a donation of 150 million KRW (equivalent to around $102,300) to the Community Chest of Korea, specifically earmarked for aiding the wildfire victims in the Yeongnam area. The funds will be utilized to assist the firefighters who are battling the blazes and to offer relief to those affected by the disaster.
Showing genuine concern, Jaemin expressed his hope that this contribution could provide solace and motivation to those who have suffered losses due to the wildfires and to the brave firefighters risking their lives on the front lines.
This charitable act has qualified Jaemin for membership in the Honor Society, a prestigious donor circle within the Community Chest of Korea. Noteworthy for his involvement in volunteer activities and donations, Jaemin acknowledged his fans' unwavering support as the reason behind his ability to extend help, mentioning, "It is thanks to 'NCTzens' that I can give back. I will continue to share my heart with those in need."
Jaemin's donation has not only spurred further individual contributions but has also inspired fans, known as 'NCTzens,' to engage in philanthropic initiatives. As wildfires persist, members of the NCT fan community are also stepping up to contribute, lending even greater support to Jaemin's goodwill gesture.
