Ahn Somyi, a former member of DIA, has announced her plans to take legal action against the YouTube channel HOVERLAB for defamation.

On March 28, Ahn Somyi's agency, Modern Berry Korea (MBK), released a statement addressing the issue. They expressed their concerns over the spreading of false rumors, personal attacks, and defamation against Ahn Somyi. After confirming the baseless rumors circulating about her, they decided to pursue legal action to protect her rights and interests.

The statement also refuted the claims made by HOVERLAB in a video titled "[Shocking Exclusive] DIA Members Fight Over One Man" on March 2, 2024. It clarified that the allegations about Ahn Somyi dating CEO Kim Kwang Soo of PocketDol Studio were entirely fabricated. MBK emphasized that they will take strong legal measures against HOVERLAB for spreading unfounded rumors.

MBK assured that they would closely monitor online platforms for any malicious activity aimed at their artist and take legal action accordingly. They emphasized the illegality of creating and disseminating defamatory content targeting specific individuals and vowed to combat such criminal activities through civil and criminal channels to protect Ahn Somyi and promote a healthy fan culture.

Ahn Somyi, who debuted with DIA in 2017 but left the group in January 2022, subsequently pursued a career as an internet BJ. She recently signed an exclusive contract with Modern Berry Korea, indicating her comeback to the entertainment industry.
