/Article

NewJeans recently spoke to the BBC and shared their perspective on the ongoing dispute with ADOR. During the discussion, the group members (Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein) revealed why they decided not to return to ADOR and elaborated on their stance. They highlighted that due to the current unfavorable social circumstances, they felt constrained and hesitant to express themselves freely. This made it a bold move for them to break their silence.

Minji expressed how emotionally taxing the situation had been for them and emphasized that going back to face the same challenges at the company would be harsh. The group maintained their belief that ADOR had not provided them with adequate protection. Danielle emphasized that their intention was not to seek sympathy but to pursue their passion genuinely. Nevertheless, they continued to face obstacles in the form of falsehoods and misunderstandings.

In response to the court's verdict approving ADOR's injunction against NewJeans, restricting their independent activities, some Korean netizens are suggesting that the group could simply pay any fines and terminate their contract to depart from the agency. The sentiment among these netizens is that the situation could be resolved by settling any contractual obligations and separating from ADOR. Nonetheless, opinions vary within the online community, with some expressing empathy towards the group's situation while others seem to view the ongoing developments with skepticism and amusement.
