Adapted from the popular Naver webtoon, the drama revolves around Yeon Si Eun (portrayed by Park Ji Hoon), a top student who befriends Ahn Su Ho (played by Choi Hyun Wook) and Oh Beom Seok (played by Hong Kyung). The actors themselves have expressed a deep connection to their roles, citing the on-screen friendships as some of their most cherished.

A notable feature of 'Weak Hero Class 1' is Yeon Si Eun’s unique combat style, known as "brain action," which focuses on strategic intellect in fights. This approach distinguishes the drama from traditional action shows, offering viewers a fresh take on the genre. Director Yoo Soo Min added sophistication to the action sequences, transforming the series into a gripping psychological journey.
