Jim Jones Achieves 5 Days of Sobriety for the First Time in 33 Years While Traveling in Japan

Rapper Jim Jones has hit a significant milestone by staying sober for five days, marking a momentous occasion in his life after refraining from using marijuana during his recent trip to Japan.

During his journey to Asia to join Kanye West, who is busy working on his upcoming BULLY album, Jim Jones encountered Japan's strict cannabis laws. The country imposes severe penalties for possession, similar to those for other illicit substances, potentially resulting in lengthy prison sentences of up to seven years.

With his priorities set on his professional commitments, Jim Jones made the decision to go "cold turkey" and abstain from using marijuana for the duration of his stay in Japan.

In a recent Instagram post on Wednesday (January 29), Jim Jones expressed his excitement about feeling rejuvenated and youthful after abstaining from weed for five days. He shared, “I been around here bouncing like a kid like I’m in high school. I definitely got that high school feeling," noting how refreshing and pure his body feels after the break.

While acknowledging his addiction to marijuana, Jim Jones emphasized his discipline to prioritize business by quitting cold turkey when necessary. He humorously hinted at resuming his smoking habit upon returning to the United States.

During his time in Tokyo, Jim Jones also collaborated with Kanye West, who previewed his highly anticipated BULLY album to him. Impressed by the album, Jim Jones advised his fans to prepare for a significant release.

In other developments, Jim Jones recently unveiled his Vamp Cares initiative in partnership with the I WILL GRADUATE Youth Development Program. This project aims to support students by providing resources and motivation to help them overcome obstacles and excel academically.
