TUI targets a 3% profit margin for its airline business in the medium term

Europe's leading tour operator, TUI, revealed its plans to increase profit margins for its markets and airline unit to more than 3% in the near future. The company intends to widen its network and promote the sale of seat-only flights, along with expanding business-to-business opportunities to add flexibility to its traditional holiday package business. CEO Sebastian Ebel emphasized the goal of providing customers with a wider range of products and increasing customer engagement throughout the year. Ebel also expressed TUI's ambition to diversify beyond packaged holidays by offering a broader selection of entertainment and experience packages through a dedicated app. Additionally, TUI announced its consideration of updating its Marella cruise ship fleet to target the British market and is in discussions for the construction of two new ships to be ready by 2031.
