Han Jong-Hee, a key figure in Samsung Electronics' TV business, has passed away at the age of 63, according to the company. He held the position of co-CEO and was in charge of the consumer electronics and mobile devices departments at Samsung. Han, who had been with Samsung since 1988, played a significant role in establishing the company as a top TV manufacturer globally. He was promoted to co-vice chairman and CEO in 2022. Samsung, renowned for its technological innovation, has strong divisions in components and consumer products, each with its own CEO. The company is led by Lee Jae-yong, the third-generation chairperson. The company has not yet announced who will be taking over Han's role.
