Min Hee-jin, the former CEO of Auduor, has been fined by the Ministry of Employment and Labor for workplace harassment towards employees. Despite denying the allegations, the government acknowledged that some illegal actions had taken place. According to a Ten Asia report on the 24th, Min received a fine for workplace harassment based on a case presented by a former Auduor employee, Mr. A, to the labor authorities. The Seoul Regional Labor Office under the Ministry recently informed Mr. A of the investigation results, stating that the verbal abuse directed at the victim by Min in October and December 2023 went beyond the scope of normal workplace behavior, causing physical and mental distress or deteriorating the work environment. Therefore, a fine was imposed on Min for workplace harassment. The maximum penalty for such violations is 5 million Korean won. Responsibility on Min's part was also recognized in interfering with the investigation of the harassment claims. Previously, Mr. A had reported harassment by the former COO of Auduor, Mr. B, to the company, alleging biased investigation by Min during the handling of the case. The Seoul Regional Labor Office pointed out that Min contacting Mr. B for KakaoTalk messages related to the report, and stating biased investigation to the CEO, Mr. C, violated the obligation of an objective inquiry. Last August, Mr. A filed a complaint with the Ministry of Employment and Labor, claiming harassment by Min. Despite Min's denial of the allegations, stating that Mr. A was conspiring with entities like Hive against her. This information was reported by reporter Lee Min-kyung from TenAsia.
