Ice-T is stepping into a new business venture with the opening of his cannabis dispensary in New Jersey. The dispensary, named The Medicine Woman, is located in Jersey City and is set for a soft launch on March 27, followed by a grand opening event on April 19-20. Ice-T, a renowned rapper and actor, shared the news on social media, inviting customers to take advantage of special discounts on the opening day.

Teaming up with cannabis entrepreneur Charis Burrettis, Ice-T aims to bring The Medicine Woman brand to his home state. The dispensary, spanning 5,000 square feet, was approved by Jersey City’s Cannabis Control Board in July 2022. Ice-T, with roots in Newark and Summit, sees the dispensary as a way to support the local community, partnering with organizations like The Last Prisoner Project and the Jersey City Employment and Training Program to provide job opportunities to those affected by past cannabis convictions.
