In a recent targeted attack in Memphis that claimed the life of his friend and collaborator Sayso P, Sauce Walka provided reassurance to his fans after sustaining gunshot wounds.
Sauce Walka, a Houston-based Hip-Hop artist, shared a video online to update followers on his condition post-shooting incident in Memphis. He mentioned facing gunfire in the past, stating, "45 shots when I was 15 years old. This is not unfamiliar territory."
Additionally, Sauce Walka expressed his condolences for Sayso P, a fellow TSF artist who tragically lost his life during the same incident.
The shooting occurred in downtown Memphis near the FedExForum arena, with Sauce Walka being injured in the leg outside a hotel. Memphis police categorized the incident as a deliberate attack targeted at Sauce Walka rather than a random act.
Following the shooting, authorities are actively in pursuit of the suspects involved, who were reported to have fired without warning before fleeing the scene. Despite non-life-threatening injuries, Sauce Walka was transported to a hospital for treatment, while Sayso P succumbed to his injuries.
Sauce Walka's father, Albert Walker, publicly acknowledged the incident, relieved that his son survived the violence. The police have confirmed that the shooting was targeted and are seeking information from the public to assist in the investigation.
