Celebrated producer Code Kunst has opened up about his struggles in crafting a new album.
Back in 2023, he made headlines for his five-year relationship with a non-celebrity. However, the talk of the town shifted on the 28th when Jeon Hyunmoo playfully hinted at marriage during his acceptance speech at the '2024 MBC Entertainment Awards'.
During an exclusive chat on the renowned YouTube channel 'Yong Tarot' scheduled to air on the 29th, Code Kunst delved into his artistic journey, revealing, "In my youth, I used to pester my older music mentors with questions like, 'Why does it take so long to drop an album?' Now, I get it."
He went on to share, "After a decade, I feel like I've poured out all my thoughts. While I've found a rhythm in my craft, creating music now demands introspection into my past experiences, which inevitably requires time."
Adding humor to the conversation, comedian Lee Yong Jin concurred, suggesting, "Musicians ought to embrace a myriad of life encounters." Following a quirky tarot reading, Lee Yong Jin playfully advised Code Kunst on his album production, highlighting themes such as "peaks and troughs, financial blunders, and navigating swindles."
Interpreting the tarot handpicked by Code Kunst, Lee Yong Jin emphasized, "Simplicity will be your ally. Resist the urge for perfection." Code Kunst nodded in agreement, acknowledging, "I must steer clear of album perfectionism."
Having unveiled his last record, 'Remember Archive,' in 2023, three years post his release of 'PEOPLE' in 2020, fans eagerly anticipate his seventh studio album, marking a comeback after a two-year hiatus.
Excitingly, Lee Yong Jin hinted at a potential collaboration on the upcoming album, proposing, "Why not feature a track with enlightening hip-hop narratives?" Code Kunst welcomed the idea, affirming, "That's intriguing. I'll get on it."
During the episode, Code Kunst also sought tarot insights on various aspects including his recent weight gain, barista endeavors, the motivation behind his new venture, and his camaraderie with fellow musicians like Woo Won Jae, Gray, and Lee Hi.
