Wang Yiren, a member of the group EVERGLOW, recently opened up about the challenges she faces as an idol, sharing that despite being in the industry for six years, she has not received any income from her group activities.
In a message to fans, Yiren expressed her love for being on stage but admitted to not making any money so far. She emphasized her dedication to her career despite the lack of financial returns, mentioning that they have never received any payment for their work.
Yiren revealed that the group works hard to prepare for their tour performances out of a genuine desire to give their fans a great show. She also expressed regret for not being able to release new songs and performances more frequently.
Despite her financial struggles, Yiren maintained a positive attitude, acknowledging her zero-wage status since debut but finding solace in being able to connect with fans and perform on stage.
Fans were surprised to learn about EVERGLOW's financial situation, raising concerns about the group's future. Debuting in 2019 under Yuehua Entertainment Korea, EVERGLOW comprises six members, namely E:U, Sihyeon, Mia, Onda, Aisha, and Yiren, and is known for hits like “ZOMBIE” and “DUN DUN.”
The group recently concluded their '2023 EVERGLOW US TOUR ‘ALL MY GIRLS’' and released their fifth single album “ZOMBIE” in June 2023. Yiren rose to fame through the survival show ‘PRODUCE 48’ alongside fellow member Sihyeon.
