During a press conference held to discuss legal actions against YouTuber Lee Jin Ho and actor Kim Soo Hyun, Kim Sae Ron’s family experienced an unexpected twist when political slogans appeared at the event. The gathering was led by Kim Sae Ron’s family's legal representative, Bu Ji Seok, as well as Kwon Young Chan and Kim Se Ui in front of the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency. However, the focus shifted when Kim Se Ui was spotted wearing a red headband with the slogan “Oppose Impeachment.” This politically charged attire led to confusion among journalists present, as the event was intended to address the family's legal battles and not political matters.

Some media outlets chose to blur images of Kim Se Ui or exclude them entirely to avoid any political misinterpretations. A photographer on site explained that they decided to blur the “Oppose Impeachment” slogan to prevent any political associations due to the nature of the press conference.

Criticism flooded the live broadcast comments section, questioning the relevance of the political message to Kim Sae Ron's case and urging to keep the focus on the primary issue. However, some defended Kim Se Ui, highlighting that he typically wears the headband during his broadcasts and did not intend to link it to Kim Sae Ron’s situation.

In response to the backlash, Kim Se Ui clarified that the Garosero Research Institute primarily focuses on political content and that his intention was to draw attention to South Korea's current state amid the global spotlight on the Kim Soo Hyun case. Despite apologizing for any discomfort caused to those with differing views, Kim Se Ui expressed his intention to continue wearing the headband in future broadcasts.
