Kim Sae Ron's family, mourning her passing, conducted a press conference at the Seoul Metropolitan Police Agency on March 17 to shed light on the circumstances surrounding the release of photos capturing Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun's relationship. They also shared reasons for taking legal action against YouTuber Lee.

During the conference at the police agency, Attorney Bu Ji Seok, representing Kim Sae Ron's family from the law firm Buyou, lodged a complaint against YouTuber Lee. Kwon Young Chan, the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association's head, and Kim Se Ui from the YouTube channel HOVERLAB (Garo Sero Research Institute) were present at the event.

The lawyer expressed, "We are grieving the loss of a beloved individual. Kim Sae Ron's mother was too overwhelmed to attend due to her frail condition, and her father couldn't come as he provides for the family by working tirelessly all day."

The family clarified that they released the photos of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron's relationship with the sole aim of prompting Kim Soo Hyun to acknowledge the relationship, essential for their legal case against YouTuber Lee. Regrettably, misleading statements from Kim Soo Hyun's camp only exacerbated the family's suffering. They hope for a genuine apology and resolution.

Highlighting Kim Sae Ron's distress upon receiving the legal notice from her agency due to owed money, the lawyer explained her attempt to seek Kim Soo Hyun's help, only to be met with silence. The decision to post relationship photos was fueled by a plea for attention given the circumstances.

Regarding claims made by YouTuber Lee disparaging the deceased as delusional, the lawyer condemned such behavior as defamation and a deliberate attempt to tarnish Kim Sae Ron's reputation. Legal action was necessary, particularly given Lee's deletion of related content following Kim Sae Ron's death, which hinted at potential evidence tampering.

The legal notice from Kim Soo Hyun's camp demanding significant repayment and subsequent restrictions on contacting him or other agency actors added to Kim Sae Ron's distress. The family voiced dismay over the lack of support during such a challenging time and is contemplating legal recourse against Kim Soo Hyun's side.

Accusations from HOVERLAB alleging a six-year relationship between Kim Sae Ron and Kim Soo Hyun from when she was 15 were met with a response from Kim Soo Hyun's agency, Gold Medalist, questioning the credibility of the claims and emphasizing the importance of respecting privacy.
