In an announcement on Monday, BMW Group revealed plans to incorporate Huawei HiCar, the car mobile app developed by the Chinese technology giant, into its future models manufactured in China starting in 2026.

BMW is collaborating with Huawei to create intelligent applications using the Harmony operating system for drivers utilizing Huawei devices in China. The automaker is also working with its suppliers to enhance collaboration across different phases and facilitate the seamless integration of Chinese partners into BMW's global innovation system.

The partnership aims to enhance the technological capabilities and connectivity options offered to BMW car owners in China.
