Legal Drama Unfolds: Adria English Abandoned by Lawyers in Lawsuit Against Diddy
Adria English's legal battle against Sean "Diddy" Combs takes another twist as her legal team exits the scene amidst ongoing litigation.
In a surprising turn of events, Adria English, the former adult film actress suing Sean "Diddy" Combs, has been left without legal representation yet again.
Attorneys from Andrews & Thornton AAL LLC, The Watts Firm, and Kagen Caspersen & Bogart PLLC have formally requested to withdraw from representing English in her civil lawsuit against the Hip-Hop icon. Citing irreparable breakdowns in communication and the attorney-client relationship, lawyers Kimberly Degonia and Joel M. Taylor have decided to step away from the case.
The motion filed on Monday (March 10) seeks Judge Analisa Torres' approval to release the legal team and also asks for a 60-day hiatus to allow English to secure new legal counsel.
This latest development deals a significant blow to English's case, originally filed in July 2024. The lawsuit accuses Diddy and his associated entities of sex trafficking and exploitation between 2004 and 2009 in New York and Florida.
English had previously parted ways with her attorneys Ariel Mitchell-Kidd and Steven A. Metcalf II in October due to conflicting instructions and destructive behavior on her part.
Allegations from English include being coerced into adult entertainment at Diddy's exclusive gatherings, forced substance consumption, and engaging in unwanted sexual activities. She further claims that promises of a music career were used as manipulation tactics, with threats of retaliation weighing on her if she resisted.
The legal saga between Adria English and Diddy continues to unfold, with this latest setback adding another layer of complexity to the ongoing litigation.
