Accusations of BLACKPINK’s Lisa and Jennie using autopen signatures in CD sales prompts online backlash

The online community on Reddit is abuzz with controversy surrounding autopen signatures on album copies.

Recently, BLACKPINK's Lisa and Jennie have come under fire for potentially using autopen signatures on their signed albums, which were marketed as genuine hand-signed copies.

Fans who purchased Lisa's debut solo album 'Alter Ego' raised concerns after noticing that the signatures appeared identical, showing telltale signs of autopen use such as abrupt start and stop points.

Similar suspicions arose with Jennie's album sales, as fans observed the same characteristics in the signed photocards included in her album.

Expressing their disappointment, fans took to Reddit to share their frustration, accusing the idols of deceiving them by presenting the albums as authentically signed. One user on the r/popculturechat subreddit remarked, "It just feels intentionally misleading to present something as genuinely signed when it’s auto-penned. If they want to autopen, SAY SO, and actually charge an appropriate amount for them. Don’t charge the same as genuinely signed albums, because autopen takes no labor and doesn’t have the actual personal touch of the person someone is a fan of. It doesn’t have to be as shady as they’re making it," while another exclaimed, "This is such a fraud."

The controversy has ignited a debate within the community, sparking discussions about the authenticity of celebrity autographs and the practices surrounding signed merchandise.

In other news, BLACKPINK has reached another milestone with the "How You Like That" dance practice video surpassing 1.8 billion views on YouTube.
