Diddy Faces New Charges including Money Laundering and Witness Tampering
Legal issues continue to mount for Diddy as he now faces a superseding indictment that accuses him of money laundering and witness tampering. Federal prosecutors in Manhattan have expanded their racketeering case against the Hip-Hop mogul, adding new and serious charges to the existing allegations.
The latest indictment filed on March 6, 2025, not only accuses Diddy of threatening witnesses, drug dealing, kidnapping, and extortion but also introduces allegations of forced labor. It paints a disturbing picture of the methods Diddy allegedly used to control his victims and maintain power over them.
In addition to coercion, bribery, and covering up his crimes through proxies and cash payments, Diddy is also accused of retaliating against those who witnessed his illegal activities. Employees were allegedly compelled to adhere to grueling work schedules under threats of physical, financial, psychological, and reputational harm.
One unsettling account describes an unnamed employee who was allegedly coerced into engaging in sexual acts under oppressive conditions.
Despite these allegations, Diddy has consistently denied all charges. His attorney, Marc Agnifilo, reiterated Diddy's denial, stating that he vehemently opposes the accusations and looks forward to his day in court to prove his innocence.
Diddy's legal troubles have been escalating over the past year, with his arrest in September 2024 on charges of sex trafficking and racketeering. The indictment suggests that his alleged activities spanned two decades, involving events where women were reportedly coerced into drug-fueled sexual encounters, some of which may have been recorded without consent.
In January 2025, a previous indictment expanded the timeline of Diddy's alleged misconduct and introduced additional anonymous victims. One alarming allegation claims that Diddy once dangled a victim over an apartment balcony to instill fear and maintain control.
Currently incarcerated at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn, Diddy's trial is scheduled to begin on May 5, 2025.
