Taiwanese actress Barbie Hsu, known for her iconic role in Meteor Garden, recently passed away due to complications from pneumonia. Reports indicate that she divided her substantial inheritance equally among her husband, DJ Koo (Koo Jun Yup), and their two children.

As per local media outlet China Times, Barbie Hsu's estate has been distributed in accordance with Taiwanese inheritance laws, with one-third each allocated to Koo Jun Yup and the children. Given that the kids are minors, their finances will be overseen by their biological father, Wang Xiaofei, until they come of age, with Wang Xiaofei also granted custody rights.

Sources suggest that an amicable arrangement was reached between Barbie Hsu's mother and Wang Xiaofei to ensure the proper management of the inheritance.

In a heartfelt post on Instagram, Koo Jun Yup expressed his intention to forgo his inheritance rights in favor of his late wife's family, highlighting Barbie's dedication to safeguarding her loved ones.

Estimates put Barbie Hsu's estate at around 600 million yuan, with one-third of this sum equivalent to approximately 27.5 million USD. The actress's career took off with her role in Meteor Garden, and after her divorce from Wang Xiaofei, she rekindled a romance with Koo Jun Yup, culminating in their marriage in 2022. Tragically, Barbie Hsu succumbed to pneumonia in February, leaving behind a rich legacy as well as a grieving family.
