The event, hosted collectively by the Korea Management Federation (KMF), Korea Entertainment Producer's Association (KEPA), Record Label Industry Association of Korea (LIAK), Recording Industry Association of Korea (RIAK), and Korea Music Content Association (KMCA), aimed to address the ongoing legal dispute involving HYBE Labels/ADOR and girl group NJZ (NewJeans) and their producer, Min Hee Jin.

Choi Kwang Ho, the secretary-general of the Korea Music Content Association, emphasized the importance of maintaining promises for the sustainable growth of the music industry. He underlined the partnership nature of the exclusive contracts between labels and artists as the cornerstone of the industry, expressing concerns over recent threats to this foundation.

In a call for revised contract practices that align with modern standards, the KMCA representative highlighted the risks posed by actions undermining the industry's stability and the support for violations by some agencies and fans. Emphasizing the need for compliance and adherence to legal procedures in resolving disputes, Choi emphasized the necessity of upholding the sanctity of agreements until a legal verdict is reached.
