Jermaine Dupri, along with fellow artists Jamie Foxx and Rapsody, is fighting back against recent criticisms of one of Michael Jackson's iconic works.

Responding to a Rolling Stone report questioning the inclusion of "The Lady In My Life" on Jackson's legendary Thriller album, Dupri passionately defended the track and criticized the media's treatment of R&B music. In a tweet, Dupri expressed his frustration, stating that such critiques are detrimental to the genre's appreciation and called out the Grammy Awards for not televising R&B categories.

In agreement with Dupri, Rapsody and Killer Mike voiced their support for his stance. Jamie Foxx also joined the conversation, applauding Dupri's defense of Jackson and decrying the perceived artistic attacks on legendary musicians like Jackson and Beyoncé.

Highlighting the immense success of the Thriller album, which has achieved a record-breaking 34X multi-platinum certification, it is evident that "The Lady in My Life" holds a special place in Jackson's discography, despite not being released as a single. In a world where iconic artists are often under scrutiny, it is crucial to appreciate and respect their contributions to music history.
