Tzuyang Breaks Silence in First Interview Post Blackmail Scandal
Tzuyang has finally spoken out in an exclusive interview with JTBC following the sentencing of Gu Je Yeok and a lawyer involved in the blackmail and extortion case against her. Despite their convictions, she continues to combat false rumors and conspiracy theories swirling around her.
During the interview on the 21st, Tzuyang emphatically denied the misinformation, asserting her innocence and highlighting that she has never caused harm or committed any wrongdoing. She disclosed the years of abuse and financial exploitation she endured from her ex-boyfriend before the blackmail incident, a part of her life she had hoped to keep private.
The situation took a darker turn when cyber wreckers, led by Gu Je Yeok, uncovered her past struggles and began demanding money from her. The turmoil escalated with the Garo Sero Institute channel exposing her personal life and spreading sensationalized falsehoods.
"I never intended for my private life to be exposed, but the barrage of rumors left me with no choice but to address them," she shared.
While Gu Je Yeok received a three-year prison sentence and other accomplices were also convicted, Tzuyang remains plagued by unfounded conspiracy theories, such as alleged ties to Chinese espionage or political affiliations.
"I have never set foot in China and have zero involvement in politics. The accusations are baseless and perplexing," she expressed, frustrated by the relentless speculation.
Determined to vindicate herself, Tzuyang has taken legal action by filing a defamation lawsuit against the Garo Sero Institute and individuals responsible for disseminating false information.
"It seems like their goal is simply to tear me down, regardless of the truth," she remarked, highlighting that even seven months after the threats and privacy violations began, the battle continues.
