Ne-Yo Claps Back at Critics of His Polyamorous Lifestyle

R&B; sensation Ne-Yo recently set the internet abuzz with his unapologetic response to critics of his polyamorous relationships. The chart-topping singer, famous for hits like “So Sick” and “Miss Independent,” took to Instagram to reaffirm his unconventional stance, showing that he's not here for anyone's judgment.

A photo shared by Ne-Yo aboard a boat with influencer Arielle Hill and adult content creators Phoenixx Feather and Bella stirred up a storm online, with some applauding his openness and others expressing disapproval. Captioned "US vs. …NOBODY. You can’t compete where you can’t compare. #PolyAndFly," the post sparked intense debates across social media platforms.

In true Ne-Yo fashion, instead of shying away from the backlash, the 45-year-old artist fired back with a no-nonsense Instagram Stories post aimed squarely at his detractors. Sporting a cheeky grin and a T-shirt boldly stating, "Fun fact: I don’t care," he directly taunted critics with a simple message: "Them: 'NEYO WE DON’T APPROVE OF YOUR POLY RELATIONSHIP.'"

Ne-Yo’s open approach to relationships has been a hot topic, especially following his 2023 divorce from Crystal Renay after seven years of marriage. With three children from his marriage with Renay and two more with ex-fiancée Monyetta Shaw, Ne-Yo has been vocal about his views on monogamy and traditional marriage, emphasizing that one size does not fit all.

In a candid interview on Lemon Drop The Show last November, Ne-Yo shared, “I am not s####### on marriage. I’m not s####### on anyone who has figured out how to make that thing work for them. Again, everything’s not for everybody.”

Ne-Yo's unapologetic attitude towards his polyamorous lifestyle has sparked conversations and divided opinions, but one thing is clear – he's living life on his terms, and the only approval he needs is his own.
